Since 2015, Peter Brecht is Senior Business Consultant and authorised signatory at GermanOncology.
A graduate in business administration, he has had a unique career in the pharmaceutical industry for more than 30 years. He gained his wealth of experience in leading positions in management, marketing and sales at large companies such as Knoll AG, Pharmacia, Bristol Myers Squibb, Chiron, Nycomed, Nestlé, MerckSerono and Novo Nordisk.
In the constantly changing environment of the pharmaceutical industry, Mr Brecht has successfully implemented his sound business management knowledge in eight mergers in change processes. In his function as Director of Sales in several companies, he has developed and repeatedly successfully applied new business models, both nationally and internationally, to address customers.
The rebuilding of sales structures on a national and international level and motivation-driven management coaching were the focal points and success factors of his many years of activity. Internships in various specialist departments in clinics in Germany and other European countries (including Sweden and France), as well as in numerous practices in Germany, provided him with detailed insight into various cross-sectoral treatment pathways and optimised his skills in needs-oriented benefit reasoning.
Within GermanOncology, Peter Brecht works with a focus on internal and external communication with the oncological network, project acquisition, support and implementation, as well as the development of new business models within the framework of Real World Data and Patient Report-Outcomes (PRO).
